The Rueda Denominación de Origen

The Rueda Denominación de Origen (Appellation) is set on the left bank of the river Duero, and is the most emblematic area for white wines in Castilla y León region (España), widely reflected in the local Verdejo variety. Rustic, sturdy and perfectly adapted to the local climate and soils. A harsh continental climate combines with sharp changes in temperature between winter and summer. Rainfall is around 350 mm/year, with average of 2.800 hours of yearly sunshine. Loose, peebly soils, low in organic contents gives the wine its unique character.
